The project begins with photographic captures of various surfaces, which are transformed into digital wavetables. These waveforms form the basis for sound generation using a wavetable synthesizer. Each track of the album is based on a specific material and carries its name. The sonification process is linear: the waveforms are systematically scanned to acoustically translate the physical characteristics of the material. mathematical concept of the integral, which describes the summation of infinitesimal changes into a unified whole. This idea of wholeness and constant transformation is reflected in the album’s musical composition. At the core of the sound design are an electric piano and two modified cassette recorders used as tape echo devices. The echoes create a continuous flow in which past and present sounds merge.
